The UK has achieved an unenviable world first with news that a British man has been diagnosed witha strain of gonorrhoea so far resistant to all antibioticsnormally used to treat the disease.
The sexually transmitted bacteria Neisseria gonorrhoeae, identified almost 140 years ago, causes unpleasant symptoms and, often, acute embarrassment – but it is an infection we’ve become accustomed to being easily curable with a simple course of that miracle of modern medicine: antibiotics.
In the United States, 30 percent of new gonorrhea infections are resistant to at least one drug, according to theCenters for Disease Control. The agency believes the trend is a public-health threat.
Each year, around 400,000 cases are reported, but820,000 new infections may actuallybe occurring, according to the CDC.
Gonorrhea is becoming harder and in some cases impossible to treat with antibiotics, the World Health Organization said.
Gonorrheais a sexually transmitted disease (STD) that can infect both men and women. It can cause infections in the genitals, rectum, and throat.
Gonorrhea is caused by the bacteriumNeisseria gonorrhoeae.
Gonorrhea can be passed from mother to baby during delivery.
Gonorrhea andchlamydiacan be experienced simultaneously.
If untreated, gonorrhea can increase a person's risk of acquiring or transmittingHIV.

Men can go without symptoms for quite a while, not knowing they have it & in turn spreading the virus.
It does not go away on it's own & if you suspect you or your partner/s have been infected you should book an appointment with your closest Sexual Health Clinic.
This can be done online or through your G.P.
Gonorrhea of the throat must be tested using an oral swab test as it may not be picked up in the blood or urine.
Normally Gonorrhea is detected in both blood & urine, showing up in symptoms similar to a urinary tract infection but the pharynx is a resevoir for many disease & might only be detected through the oral swab exam.

Whitish or yellow discharge.
I guess it's down to the situation if if that person's infected then the activities they are in will put them at higher risk, (the way some diseases are more with drug users & homosexuals).
Also i'd guess that your body fighting off one disease is trouble enough but then you'd be weaker & therefor more prone to being infected with HIV.
Keep in mind Charlie Sheens wife was fucking him every night without protection for more than a year & wasn't infected (luckily).
He wasn't even taking meds for first few months apparently.
Well of you're a regular Joe & you meet a swell Susie, hit it off, have a straight relationship with just each other & don't have the kind of lifestlye that involves drugs then you shouldn't have to be worried.
If however you are a degenerate..... well then, expect consequences for ones actions.
my finely-tuned antibodies will wipe out all the ab-resistant STD's from having fucked all those men in my youth while my rich, Christian husband suffers from them while I spend his money on all this awesome make-up so I can fuck his friends.
Nah there's worse. Some HPV strains (causing genital warts) don't even need fluids or mucous tissues. The can be trasnmitted by normal skin contact. So the skin around the shaft of your dick is vulnerable even with a condom. And there is no cure. HPV is for life, going through dormant and active cycles.
Time to put more money into antibiotic research, this may require a government backed research program. Oh and antibiotic resistant infections are much less likely to infect people then regular non-resistant bacterial infections, so this crisis isn't as severe as you'd think.
